2026 Osun Guber: Gov Adeleke To Receive Certificate Of Return In Osogbo Tomorrow
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State will be a special guest at an event that will be held at the state headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Osogbo, tomorrow, Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
He will be there to receive his Certificate of Return as governor-elect.
Mr Musa Olorode, who is the spokesman for INEC in Osun State, noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday morning that the presentation ceremony scheduled to hold tomorrow was sequel to the successful conduct of the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
He added that the event will hold at 12pm.
Recall that the electoral umpire had through the Returning Officer, Professor Joshua Ogunwole, who is the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, decalred Adeleke as governor-elect on Sunday..
He noted that Governor Adeleke had 511,067 votes while his main challenger, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji of the APC got 444,815 votes.
ADC candidate, Hon Najeem Salam got 17180, votes, Adeagbo Opowoye Yemisi had 2,945 votes, Adeyemi Olusanya 1,474 votes, Adeleke Adesoji, 111 votes. Adeleke Taofeeq of NNPP, 118 votes while the SDP candidate, Dr. Francis Olugbenga Ajala, who was officially recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) three days to the election, got 155 votes.
