25th Death Anniversary: Late Yesufu Adedoyin’s Life And Legacy Remembered At Fidau Prayer Held For Him In Ijomu-Oro
Political figures, top monarchs, family members, friends, and associates of a prominent politician in Kwara State, who is also a veteran journalist, Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin took turns to pay tributes to his father, late Alhaji Yesufu Adedoyin during the Islamic prayer service held to mark his 25th death anniversary at the Central Mosque, Ijomu Oro, Irepodun local government, Kwara State on Monday.
During the prayer service, Islamic clerics including the Chief Imam of Ijomu-Oro, Sheikh Bashir Adewara Ibrahim and monarchs praised the good qualities, characteristics, and moral strengths that Alhaji Yesufu Adedoyin demonstrated while alive.
A dutiful father, a devout Muslim and a community leader, late Alhaji Yesufu Adedoyin was the first Oloriewe of Oro Kingdom, the Babalaje of Ijomu Oro Kingdom, the Baba Adinni of Ijomu Oro and the Mogaji Adinni of Lagos Central Mosque.
The late Pa Yesufu Adedoyin will particularly be remembered for his relentless effort to promote Western education alongside Islamic knowledge which made Oro Kingdom get the first Ansarul Islam Grammar School, Oro.
Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II, who is the Oloro of Oro Kingdom, acknowledged the late Pa Yesufu Adedoyin’s dedication to community development and his enduring impact on Oro kingdom.
He highlighted the deceased community leader’s numerous achievements while urging his family to draw strength from his exemplary life.
The monarch also commended Chief Raheem Adedoyin for sustaining his father’s legacy.
Dignitaries at the event include Rep Raheem Olawuyi, who represents Isin/Irepodun/Ekiti/Oke-Ero federal constituency in the House of Representatives, the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Bolaji Alebiosu, Oloro of Oro, Oba Joel Oyatoye, a member of Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon Shola Odetundun, an APC chieftain, Prince Olanrewaju Shuaib, retired General Olayemi Lasisi Abidoye , Provost of Kwara State College of Education, Oro, Professor `Aremu Mukaila Ayanda, Chief Bode Adekanye and Secretary, Irepodun local government, Hon Musa Mujidat Folashade.
In an interview with Team@orientactualmags.com, Hon Raheem Adedoyin, who spoke with deep respect and reverence for his late father, Alhaji Yesufu Adedoyin, called him a great and noble man who built a firm foundation of faith and family.
