36-Year –Old Doctor Arrested For Killing 6 People In Kwara ‘Unremorseful’

Dr Adio Adeyemi Adebowale, a Chief Medical Director at the Kaiama General Hospital, Kwara state, who had earlier been arrested and taken into custody by the police in Edo state, is currently undergoing custodial interrogation in Ilorin , Kwara state.

Kwara state Commissioner of Police, Mr Paul Odama, announced during the press conference he presided over at the state police headquarters, Ilorin on Monday that Adio had since been transferred to Kwara state police command to answer questions and currently undergoing custodial interrogation.

.

It will be recalled that Adio  was arrested   on September 6, 2022,  for the  murder of a cab driver, Emmanuel Agbonvinues in Edo state .

The doctor   had allegedly injected Emmanuel  to death , dumped his body in the bush and  went away with his car.

The killer doctor had also had his name  mentioned in  connection with the murder of two young women in Kwara state; Ifeoluwa , who had earlier been declared missing in  the Tanke area of Ilorin in 2021 and  Nofisat Halidu , whose whereabouts also became unknown in Kaiama, Kaiama Local Government , Kwara state.

CP Odama told journalists including  Team@orientactualmags.com on Monday that  the death of six individuals in Kwara state were being investigated while Dr Adio has gotten named as a prime suspect in all the cases.

He noted that the victims include.; Olanipekun Ifeoluwa Ibukun , Nafisat Halidu,  Abubakar Mallam Abubakar  and an  unidentified lady.

‘On 3/7/2022, at about 2350hrs, one Muktar Opeyemi (m) reported at F Division, Ilorin, that on /25/6/2022, he noticed that one of his co-tenants by name Ifeoluwa (f), of the same address, and her vehicle, a Toyota Camry, were last seen within the compound on 24/6/2022, which was unusual.

While the investigation was ongoing with regard to the missing lady, a case of culpable homicide was reported at Alapa Police Station to the effect that a lifeless body of a young lady was found in the bush beside the road with injury marks on her head.

Investigation, however, revealed that Olanipekun Ifeoluwa Ibukun, who was reported missing at F Division, was the same young lady killed and had her body left in the bush at Alapa.

Investigation into the case revealed that one Dr. Abass Adio Adeyemi was last seen with the deceased girl,  Ifeoluwa. The circumstances surrounding the missing Ifeoluwa at Tanke and her being found dead at Alapa necessitated and heightened suspicions that the Doctor knew something about the missing lady.

While the command was searching for the Doctor,  media reports  had it that Edo State Police Command had arrested him in connection with another  murder case .

The command in an effort to get to the root of the  murder cases in Kwara state that had Adio’s name mentioned in connection with them,  succeeded in getting him released to the command to help in the investigation.

He has confessed to killing Ifeoluwa by hitting her with an object on the head and dumping the body in a bush in Alapa, he also confessed to have earlier sedated and caused the kidnap and killing of one Abubakar Malam Abubakar ‘M’  and the  killing of one Nafisat Halidu ‘f’ a casual worker at General Hospital both in Kaiama and concealed her body in a trash-can, filled the trash-can with cement and kept  it at the store department of the General Hospital, Kaiama with the key in his possession.

He also confessed to  killing of one unknown lady buried inside the same general hospital store.  Both bodies were exhumed, recovered and deposited at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin.

He confessed further to having been lured into organ harvesting by a yet-to-be-identified syndicate.

A discreet investigation is still in progress to unravel other killings perpetrated by the suspect and his syndicate.

Dr. Adio Abbas Adeyemi would soon be taken to court’ he said.

While being shown to the public at the state police headquarters, Ilorin on Monday, an unremorseful Dr Adio somewhat made it clear that he may not need the services of a lawyer ahead of his prosecution.

Dr Adio Adeyemi Adebowale

The unruffled serial killer unsuccessfully sought to pick holes in the submissions made by the police chief.

‘ I didn’t commit  murder  anywhere, you see,  the CP  has made serious allegations against me but I will only respond to the ones I can remember  because I have been moved from one state to another for the past six months and Iam beginning to lose some memory  but while here he accused me of  being into organ harvesting  and the CP is here, those bodies recovered  have been with them for like six months  can he tell us if any of the bodies has any of their organs missing, he is here, those ones are not difficult to answer, you don’t need one month to know this and if anything is missing from the  affected bodies  then it wasn’t from me’ he said.

Adio  also  claimed that he knew nothing about the bodies found in the hospital by the police.

‘The office he is talking about is located in a General Hospital and Iam not the only one working there the key that they claimed was found in my possession, where is the key?  There are forty three health workers in the hospital  Iam probably the only non-indigene working there,  I got there in August 2017   and I left in August last year,  I worked there for five years and   most of the time I work alone  I just want you to know how busy I was and I want to tell you that I didn’t  know how the bodies got there, if there had been conspirators I would have mentioned their  names   I will not want to go down alone.

That place is not my office, it is the hospital store and Iam not the only one that has the key’ he added.

‘I didn’t kill Nafisat,  where is the autopsy results?

Ifeoluwa was  not my girlfriend, if the police had done their background check very well, they would have known the type of person she was, it is not my job to tell you this’  Dr Adio also submitted while responding to a reporter’s question on his relationship with the late Ifeoluwa.

CP Odama, who  had earlier  described what Dr Adio had done as a crime against humanity,  had also assured that the police have  competent lawyers  that will handle the case while allaying people’s fears that the killer doctor may circumvent  the law-  Team@orientactualmags.com
