Oluwatoyin Madein Becomes 1st Female Accountant General of the Federation

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein as substantive Accountant General of the Federation (AGF).
She now has an achievement under her belt -the first female Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) in Nigeria.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned her appointment was announced through a circular by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan on Friday which was dated 19th May, 2023, and signed by the Director, Communications in her office, Mallam Mohammed Abdullahi Ahmed.
She noted that the appointment took effect from Thursday, May 18, 2023.
Ms. Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein hails from Iperu Remo , Ikenne local government, Ogun state and she was born on March 7, 1965.
Until her new appointment, she was the Director of Finance and Accounts in the office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).
Madein has been named as Ahmed Idris’ replacement. Idris was sacked as Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) by President Muhammadu Buhari following his alleged involvement in N100bn fraud and he is currently facing charges.
Idris was appointed as accountant general on June 25 , 2015.
Oluwatoyin Madein got a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from the then Ogun state Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic), Abeokuta) in 1988 .
She also obtained Postgraduate Diploma and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ogun state University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ago Iwoye.
She is a professional Accountant, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK, member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
She also received a doctorate degree in Management Finance from the Walden University, Minnesota , United states in 2020- Team@orientactualmags.com
