Labour unions in the country will declare a total, comprehensive and indefinite nationwide strike, if the pump price of petrol which currently stands at N617 naira gets increased by the fuel marketers while noting that doing such a thing will be ‘illegal’ .
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, gave a hint about this on Monday during the African Trade Union alliance meeting in Abuja.
The NLC has also warned against undermining the demands of the union.
The NLC had suspended its strike on Thursday, August 4, 2023, after staging protests in major cities in the country against increase in the pump price of petrol.
Oil marketers had on Sunday disclosed that the pump price of petrol may fall between N680 and N720 in the coming weeks should the dollar continue to trade from N910 to N950 at the parallel market.
