Winners Emerge In 2023 Kwara Qur’an Competition
Winners have emerged in the 2023 Quran recitation competition held in Kwara state.
The grand finale of the competition was held at Ilorin township stadium.
In the male category, Haroon Hassan emerged as winner in the first category of 60 Hizbs with Tajweed, Tafsir and Qira’at, while Abdullateef Zakariyyah won in the second category of 60 Hizbs with Tajweed and Tafsir.
Third category of 60 Hizbs with Tajweed was won by Uthman Uthman while Sherifdeen Zakariyyah emerged as winner in the 4th category of 30 Hizbs with Tajweed.
The 5th category of 10 Hizbs with Tangeem and Tajweed was won by Hussein Ibrahim.
In the female category, Aishat Adekanye, emerged as winner in the 3rd category of 60 Hizbs with Tajweed, while Jemilat Tijani won in the 4th category of 30 Hizbs with Tajweed.
The 5th category of 10 Hizbs with Tangeem and Tajweed was won by Maryam Issa.
In his remarks at the event, chairman of Qur’an recitation committee in the state, Alh Shehu AbdulGafar, while recalling the success stories of Kwarans at various Quran competitions across the world, commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for the financial and moral supports he has given the committee .
He, however urged the governor to fast -track approval and release of land for the construction of Qur’an memorization centre in the state-Team@orientactualmags.com
