Travelers Abducted By Gunmen On Benin-Owo Expressway….Number Of Victims Not Known Yet

Some travelers were on Saturday abducted by gunmen on the  Benin-Owo expressway .

  Team@orientactualmags.com learned the incident occurred in the  Ifon axis of the Benin-Owo expressway.

Ifon is  the headquarters of Ose Local Government , Ondo state.

Sources said the number of victims was not known yet as at Sunday afternoon  but it was said that they were more than forty people.

‘On getting to Ifon area, hoodlums ambushed their bus and  took all the occupants of the vehicle into the bush.

All the occupants of the vehicle were kidnapped since yesterday (Saturday) and nobody has heard anything about them since then’ a relation of one of the victims said.

Spokesman for the Nigeria Police Force in Ondo state,   Funmilayo Odunlami,  a Superintendent of Police, said she could not ascertain the number of the victims adding that  the police  and other security agencies in the state had begun the search for the victims in the bush.

‘Our men and other security agencies are already in the bush to rescue the victims unhurt while investigation into the incident has since commenced’ Odunlami said-  Team@orientactualmags.com
