The Kwara state University, KWASU, Malete disclosed on Wednesday that the portal of a student at the institution has been ‘disabled’ .
Citing moral misconduct, the university noted that the student in question, a male, was allegedly involved in a skit where he was seen making inappropriate contact with the opposite sex.
The institution’s Acting Director of University Relations, Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, noted in a statement on Wednesday that disabling the portal is a first-line punitive measure pending the outcome of an investigation by the Student Disciplinary Committee.
She added that the skits in question do not reflect the values of the institution or the ethical orientation of the majority of KWASU students.
‘KWASU is an institution that prides itself on producing the total graduate, both in character and in learning, and has zero tolerance for any form of indiscipline’ Aliyu submitted while adding that the disabling of the concerned student’s portal as a first-line punitive measure pending the outcome of investigation by the Student Disciplinary Committee was at the instance of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jimoh Shaykh-Luqman .
