7/7 Cult Day Celebration: Police Issue Warning To Hotel, Bar, Event Center Owners In Anambra
The Anambra state police command has warned those planning to hold the 7/7 cult day celebration in Awka, the state capital, tomorrow, Sunday, July 7, 2024, not to do so while declaring such a gathering illegal,
The state police command also warned hoteliers and owners of bars, and event/recreation centres in the state to be cautious about such gatherings and their likes at their facilities warning that there will be consequences if found wanting.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesman for the state police command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, in a statement he issued in Awka on Saturday, noted that such events or any other related activities remain banned in the state while asking the public to take note.
Ikenga added that the police would not hesitate to invoke relevant laws, especially the newly-signed anti-cultism law in the state, if anyone is caught engaging in cult activities or any act capable of undermining security in the state.
The statement added that the police and other security agencies in the state remain resolute, committed, and dedicated to making the state safer and secure, at all times.
‘To this end, the command warns hoteliers and proprietors of bars, and event/recreation centres to be cautious about such gatherings and their likes at their facilities as there will be consequences if found wanting.
