I Live In A Rented House In Abuja And Didn’t Buy House Abroad To Avoid Distractions-Aliko Dangote

Alhaji  Aliko Dangote, a business mogul, who is the richest man in Africa, has disclosed reasons why he did not buy any house outside the country and why he still lives in a rented house in Abuja, the federal capital.

He noted that his commitment to industrialization of the country has earned all his attention and he has remained focused and ensured that he avoided distractions.

Having houses in London, United States of America or other developed countries, he noted,  would serve as a distration.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the top businessman said this while talking to journalists at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos state.

‘The reason why I don’t have a London or American house is solely because I wanted to focus on industrialization of Nigeria.

I figured that if I had those houses, there would be one reason or the other for me to visit those places, thereby causing distraction for me.

I am very passionate about the Nigerian dream, and apart from my Lagos house, I have another one in my home state, Kano, and a rented one in Abuja’ he said.

He also disclosed that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited which had 20 per cent stake in Dangote Refinery has had this reduced  to 7.2 per cent .

‘NNPC no longer owns a 20% stake in the Dangote refinery. They were met to pay their balance in June but have yet to fulfill the obligations. Now, they only own a 7.2% stake in the refinery’ he said.

In her remarks, the Group Executive Director, Commercial Operations, Fatima Dangote, who is Alhaji Aliko Dangote’s daughter, praised her father’s diligence and perseverance in achieving the Nigerian dream.

‘I have not seen anyone as hardworking as my father. Sometimes I wonder how he never gives up.

I wish we had a few more men like my father in Nigeria. The country will be a better place’ she said-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
