Man Arrested For Abducting His 7-Year-Old Nephew In Gombe…Victim Found Dead At Uncompleted Building

 21-year-old  Mubarak Haladu, has been arrested and taken into custody  by the police for  kidnapping his nephew, Haruma Bello  and breaking into shops  in Dadin Kowa, Gombe State,

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Spokesman for Gombe State Police Command, Buhari Abdullahi, who disclosed this on Friday, said Haladu abducted  his seven-year-old nephew , Haruma Bello and demanded  N1.5 million  as ransom from his brother, Bello Haladu.

‘I received a call from Mubarak, demanding N1.5 million in exchange for my son’s freedom. I was devastated’ the victim’s father had told the police.

While the case  has been transferred  to the Anti-Kidnapping section of the State Criminal Investigation Department for investigation, Buhari added that  it was discovered during custodial interrogation that Mubarak was involved in multiple crimes.

The suspect, he added,  confessed to kidnapping his nephew, breaking into three shops, and stealing about 30 mobile phones.

‘ He even used one of the stolen SIM cards to demand ransom from his brother.

Tragically, on October 18, 2024, the  victim, Haruma Bello, was found dead and  his decomposing body was seen at an uncompleted building in Dadin Kowa village.

We condemn this heinous act and assure the public that justice will be served’ he added.
