Fayemi To Ekiti APC Members: Feel Free To Join 2026 Guber Race But Gov Oyebanji Is ‘My Candidate’
Ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, former Minister for Solid Minerals Development, who is also the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi has endorsed Governor Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji for a second term in office.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Dr Fayemi, who did this while giving his speech during the year-end party attended by APC members in the state at his Isan Ekiti country home on Thursday, noted that while party members should feel free to join the guber race, Governor Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji ‘s candidacy would however earn his total support.
‘I’m a democrat, so I can’t discourage anyone from seeking the party’s governorship nomination. Anybody who feels capable can contest.
