Wike Seen At Dinner Table With ‘Loyal’ Rivers Lawmakers In UK

Minister of FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, who has gotten recognized as ‘man of the moment’ when it comes to Nigerian politics, has met with those who are loyal to him among the suspended members of Rivers State House of Assembly.

He was seen at the dinner table with the lawmakers in the United Kingdom in a viral video.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Mr Lere Olayinka made the video available on X.com noting that the lawmakers are in UK for a Legislative Capacity Building Course.

 ‘Yesterday, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, hosted Rivers State House of Assembly members who are in the United Kingdom for Legislative Capacity Building, to a dinner.

Wike left Nigeria on Sunday night after visiting his political friends and associates in Port Harcourt, Rivers State’ he said.

Speaker Martin Amaewhule had noted in a statement issued by his media aide, Martins Wachukwu, last week that the UK tour aims to enhance their legislative skills.

He had also on Friday declared the 10th Rivers Assembly Legislative Tour of the United Kingdom open.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had on March 18, 2025, declared all elected political office holders at the state level in Rivers State suspended for six months.

By extension, all members of the State Executive Council were also sent packing.

This was sequel to the declaration of state of emergency in the state.

Section 305 of the 1999 Constitution empowers the president to declare a state of emergency under specific conditions.
