Former Gov Abdulfatah Ahmed Mourns Buhari’s Passing, Praises His Commitment To National Unity

Former governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former president Muhammadu Buhari, describing his passing as a monumental loss to the nation.

In a statement he issued in Abuja on Sunday and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed noted that he received the news of Buhari’s death with ‘deep shock and profound sadness’ adding that the late former president, whose life was defined by service, discipline, and a resolute commitment to national unity, was a towering figure in Nigeria’s political history.

‘On behalf of my family, political associates, and the good people of Kwara State, I extend heartfelt condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Government and people of Nigeria, the Government and people of Katsina State, and especially to the bereaved family of the late statesman’ he said.

The former Kwara State governor added that Buhari’s legacy remains indelible, recalling his evolution from a courageous military officer to Head of State and later a democratically elected president.

He described the late president as a man who ‘embodied resilience, patriotism, and a firm belief in Nigeria’s potential for greatness’

‘Although opinions may differ on his methods and decisions, his sincerity of purpose and austere approach to leadership cannot be denied. Nigeria has lost a major historical figure, and his death marks the end of an era’ he said.
