Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Mr Ugbo’s residence was attacked by gunmen in the night about four days ago after which they took him away.
‘The gunmen were heavily armed and people had thought that they are security agents. They hid in an uncompleted building close to his house, and waited for his arrival.
He went out and was about entering his house when they stopped him as his wife came out to open the front door for him.
The gunmen fired shots into the air, before marching their victim into the darkness on foot.
Many of us who live close, watched the incident from afar. We thought the gunmen were security agents.
The kidnappers have called his wife twice; they called on Sunday and demanded N200 million ransom, and today, Monday morning, they called again and demanded N100 million as ransom’ one of the residents of the town said.
When contacted, spokesman for Delta State Police command, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident and noted that efforts are being made to rescue Mr Ugbo unhurt.
‘Yes, it’s confirmed. The police are intensifying efforts to track down the kidnappers and rescue the victim’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
