Kidnapper Arrested While Trying To Withdraw Money From POS Agent In Ondo

Godspower Cletus, who held Mrs. Farimoyo Endurance captive at her residence in Odudu community, Akure, Ondo State capital, and ordered her to call her husband who immediately sent one million naira to save her from being taken to an unknown destination, has been arrested and taken into custody by the police.

The chap was arrested while trying to withdraw the one million naira from a POS agent.

Godspower had forced the woman to release her ATM card and android phone and he had left happily believing that it was a successful operation.

The suspect had asked Mrs. Farimoyo to place a call to her husband, demanding a ransom of N5 million while the distraught man had quickly transferred N1 million to her Opay account to ensure her safety.

‘Once the suspect confirmed the deposit alert, he left the place hurriedly, believing he had completed the operation without obstruction’ said a source.

Cops attached to the state Anti-Kidnapping Squad however got him arrested while he was trying to withdraw the money from a POS agent.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesperson for the state police command, Ayanlade Olayinka, who has confirmed the incident, said the suspect has confessed to committing the crime.
