A group, the Sardauna Ilory Movement (SIM), Kwara Central, has sent a message of congratulations to Dr Lawal Olalekan Olohungbebe on his emergence as Chairman of the Committee of State Commissioners of Education (COSCEN).
The group in a statement issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu Alawo and secretary, Alhaji Hassan Salaudeen Gegele noted that the appointment is a well-deserved achievement while adding that it is also a product of Dr Olohungbebe’s hard work and skills.
Submitting that Dr Olohungbebe, who is the Kwara State Commissioner Education and Human Capital Development, has proven time and again what an incredible asset he is to the State of Harmony, the group also noted that the nation’s education commissioners couldn’t have picked a better person.
COSCEN plays important role in respect of shaping educational policies and initiatives at the state level while ensuring that education in the country is managed in a coordinated and effective manner.
The committee also collaborates with the Federal Ministry of Education for training and manpower development, curriculum development and educational policy formulation.
The Sardauna Ilory Movement (SIM) said the new role is a testament to Dr Olohungbebe’s capabilities while adding that his commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed.
