Ataoja Of Osogbo Giving Gov Adeleke Thumbs Up Has Justified His Re-election Bid-TICC
The Imole Campaign Council has submitted that Governor Ademola Adeleke getting the thumbs up from the Ataoja of Osogboland, HRM, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun for the massive infrastructure strides in Osogbo is a practical reality that has been acknowledged by all indigenes of Osun State.
Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi, who is the spokesperson for The Imole Campaign Council (TICC), noted in a statement made available to Team@orietactualmags.com that the monarch had during a recent engagement at his palace, expressed deep appreciation for the remarkable transformation of Osogbo’s physical infrastructure under Governor Adeleke and unequivocally backed his re-election bid to continue the good work.
‘We are deeply honored by this candid assessment of the Adeleke administration, which reinforces what is already well known within Osun State and beyond. Governor Adeleke has delivered and deserves to be re-elected in August. In nearly four years, Osogbo has witnessed a deliberate commitment to infrastructural modernization, with projects ranging from bridges to dual carriageways befitting its status as a state capital.
In contrast, the Gboyega Oyetola administration which Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, the APC governorship candidate was a key member, treated the development of Osogbo with indifference. Due to the toxic politics that defined that era, critical projects such as the East West Bypass (Ona Baba Ona), the Osogbo Ikirun Ila Odo Kwara boundary road, among others initiated by the preceding administration, were abandoned, thereby undermining the social and economic growth of the capital city.
It is noteworthy that the East West Bypass (Ona Baba Ona) has now been completed by Governor Ademola Adeleke. The Osogbo-Ikirun 10.5km is done and inaugurated, but the remaining stretch from Ikirun through Ila-Odo to the Kwara boundary is still under construction.
Governor Adeleke has flagged off the second phase, and work is ongoing, alongside the execution of new ones aimed at enhancing connectivity across Osogbo.
It is, therefore, fitting that Kabiyesi identifies with a governor who has prioritized the development of Osogbo and echoed the collective resolve of the people of Osun State to renew his mandate’ the statement said.
TICC also thanked the top monarch for his support while assuring him that all ongoing projects in the state capital will be taken to completion.
‘On this note, we sincerely appreciate the Ataoja of Osogboland for placing development above all other considerations. We wish to assure him, and by extension the people of Osun State, that more legacy projects will be delivered by Governor Adeleke. His mission has always been a prosperous Osun State, hence the sustained investment in critical infrastructure.
One thing we want to assure His Royal Majesty, the Ataoja of Osogbo and the good people of the ancient city is that His Excellency is not done with the rapid transformation of Osogbo as the state capital. All ongoing projects, including the remodelled stadium, the proposed dualisation of the Old Garage to Ilesa Garage road, and several other interventions that will enhance the social and economic status of Osogbo, will continue to be prioritized and delivered by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
We therefore urge the people of Osun State to firmly reject any attempt to drag the state back into a painful past characterized by neglect, hardship, and stalled development. The future of Osun lies in the continuity of progress, not retrogression.
Governor Adeleke has demonstrated genuine commitment to building and transforming Osogbo and, by extension, Osun State, opening the door to opportunities and improving the lives of the people. This reflects the essence of Kabiyesi’s message and it resonates across Osun State.
Osun State is in safe hands with Governor Adeleke, and we are confident that the people will renew his mandate for another four years so that the good work will continue’ the statement added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
