Former Gov Fayose’s Inconsistency ‘In Focus’ After Getting Appointed As REA Chairman
Former governor Ayo Fayose’s inconsistency has been ‘in focus’ since Monday night after the presidency announced his appointment as chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
Recall that President Bola Tinubu’s spokesman, Mr Bayo Onanuga in a statement he issued on Monday night announced 26 new appointments with that of Chief Ayo Fayose grabbing attention.
Chief Ayodele Peter Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, is one of the leaders of the Mohammed Abdulrahman faction of PDP.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the issue of the outspoken politician’s appointment is being discussed and he has been accused of being someone who says one thing but does the opposite.
Chief Fayose had while appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on October 15, 2025, asserted that he is not supporting the Tinubu administration because of appointment or patronage.
He had also said he will be staying away from public office.
‘Have you seen me take an appointment from the APC? Asiwaju asked me, ‘What would we give you?’ I said, ‘Nothing, sir’.
At 65, I will rather be at home, being more responsible, doing other things that I need to do.
I’ve served well. Governor at two different times. I’ve done well. Tomorrow will hold itself.
I’ve not been with APC, but I’ve been Asiwaju’s friend and brother for a long time. That is the truth’ he had submitted.
