36-Year-Old POS Agent Arrested For Sexually Abusing 14-Year-Old Girl In Kwara…Victim’s Father Says She Was Threatened With Death

AbdulGaniyu AbdulRahman, a POS agent, has been arrested and taken into custody by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The suspect, whose shop is located in Alfa Yahaya / Adeta area of Ilorin, has been accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl while also threatening her with death.

He reportedly made his shop and an uncompleted building his ‘slaughter lab’ .

Team@oriientactualmags.com learned that spokesman for the state NSCDC, Ayoola Shola, who disclosed this in a statement he issued in Ilorin on Friday, noted that the suspect was arrested by members of the Gender Unit of the state command following a complaint lodged by the victim’s father.

‘Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect became acquainted with the victim through his POS business and allegedly exploited the relationship by repeatedly inviting her to his shop and later to an uncompleted building where he sexually assaulted her on different occasions.

The suspect allegedly threatened to kill the victim should she disclose this to anyone, making her to remain silent out of fear.  The victim further stated that on one occasion, the suspect gave her a locally prepared herbal mixture to drink, after which she became weak and disoriented’ the statement added.

The teenager, he added, was taken for medical examination and reports showed evidence of a previous hymenal injury associated with sexual activity.

Abdulrazaq will according to him be brought to trial after the conclusion of investigations.

‘Violence, abuse and exploitation involving children are unacceptable and constitute a serious violation of their rights, dignity and wellbeing. Anyone found culpable of offences involving minors will face the full weight of the law’ the statement also quoted the state NSCDC Commandant, Abbas Mohammed as saying.

He urged parents and guardians to maintain close communication with their children, pay attention to behavioural changes that may indicate abuse, and promptly report suspected cases to security agencies to facilitate timely intervention-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
