2027: Former Gov Yahaya Bello Emphasizes Importance Of ‘Voter Engagement’ During First Meeting With A4A State Coordinators In Abuja
Former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has revved up activities of the Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) in the North Central with an ‘important’ meeting held in Abuja on Saturday during which he described the group as a ‘noble idea whose time has come’ and also noted that it stands as a vital vehicle for regional unity, political stability, and accelerated development under the current administration.
In his first high-level strategic meeting after getting appointed as A4A’s Deputy National Coordinator (North Central), Alhaji Yahaya Bello gathered state coordinators and key regional stakeholders in Abuja to map out a grassroots-driven political strategy. The meeting brought together leadership from across the entire North Central geopolitical zone, including Kogi, Benue, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and Plateau states, alongside the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Mallam Nurudeen Imam, who is the Kwara State Coordinator, A4A, noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that Alhaji Yahaya Bello urged the coordinators to hit the ground running with an uncompromising focus on grassroots integration and broad-based political alignment. He emphasized that active voter engagement and regional unity are vital pillars for political stability and accelerated development.
To ensure the success of the mobilization efforts, the former governor pledged to personally leverage his goodwill and long-standing relationships with sitting governors across the North Central states, this high-level intervention, he noted, aims to create a seamless synergy between state governments and the A4A structure, guaranteeing institutional support and a unified campaign direction.
The former governor commended the APC leadership while praising the National Chairman of the party,Professor Nentawe Yilwatda for his visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to party discipline and the continued efforts to keep the progressive family united.
Alhaji Yahaya Bello extended special appreciation to Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, whom he warmly referred to as his brother, praising his exceptional leadership in fostering unity among the state executives and driving regional collaboration.
He also commended the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for his tireless dedication to national security, stabilization of the polity, and the provision of the needed safe environment for democratic processes and grassroots mobilization to thrive.
Alhaji Yahaya Bello urged all the state chapters to focus on bottom-up voter engagement across every ward, polling station, and community in the North Central zone.
‘All state operations were instructed to align directly with guidelines issued from the central Northern Projects Coordination Office (NPCO) in Abuja. Alhaji Yahaya Bello reiterated that the North Central zone must remain an impenetrable fortress of support for the Renewed Hope Agenda, urging coordinators to engage traditional, community, and youth leaders to sustain long-term political goodwill.
Speaking on behalf of North Central Coordinators, the FCT A4A coordinator, Alh Shittu Mohammed reaffirmed the region’s complete confidence in Alhaji Yahaya Bello’s dynamic leadership commending his track record of mobilization and unalloyed loyalty to party progress.
