Political figures, legal Icons and celebrities in the country including a celebrated banker, who served as Osun State Commissioner for Finance during the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola administration, Dr Wale Bolorunduro, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, who is the Kuliyah of Ilorin, Mallam Yusuf Olaolu Ali and a popular actress, Eniola Badmus are celebrating their birthdays today, Monday, September 7, 2026.
Dr Wale Bolorunduro, an indigene of Ere-Ijesha, Oriade local government, Osun State, graduated with First Class Honours in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1990.
He received his master’s degree in Business Management (1999) and a Ph.D. in Management (2002) from the University of British Colombia, Canada.
Dr Wale Bolorunduro, who was born on September 7. 1966, served as Osun State Commissioner for Finance and Budget during the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola administration.
The former Finance commissioner is currently the National President of Ilesa Grammar School Old Students’ Association (ILECSOSA).
Mallam Yusuf Olaolu Ali, an indigene of Ifetedo, Osun State, was born on September 7, 1956.
The birthday celebrant, a legal icon, was called to the Nigerian bar in 1983, he studied law at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife graduating with a Second Class Upper Division, and he later earned his LL.M with distinction from the same institution.
An attorney of over 40 years standing. Mallam Yusuf Olaolu Ali, who became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 1997, is a member of professional associations that include the Nigerian Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Common-wealth Lawyers Association
Author of ‘An Anatomy of Corruption in Nigeria; Issues, Challenges, and Solution’, Mallam Yusuf Ali, who has delivered over 200 papers on diverse subjects and topics at various fora within and outside the country and published over 40 articles in learned journals within and outside Nigeria, was appointed as Professor of Practice by the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti in November 2023.

He was also appointed as the first Kuliya Ngeri of the Ilorin Emirate by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari in April 2025.
Eniola Badmus, who was born on September 7, 1982, is a popular actress and a politician.
The actress, who studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan and earned a M.Sc. degree in Economics from Lagos State University, is an indigene of Ijebu-Ode Ogun State.

He praised the birthday celebrant’s commitment to public service, his excellent track records and his unwavering commitment to professionalism noting that his expertise and experience in finance and economic management are of great help in the ongoing transformation of the state.
