B-Red: Police Calling Alleged Assassination Attempt A Hoax Shows Gov Adeleke Is A Demagogic Leader-Osun APC
Osun State APC submitted on Sunday that the police investigation report that called Afrobeat singer and songwriter, Mr Adebayo Adeleke’s assertions that he escaped assassination attempt in Osogbo a few days ago ‘a hoax’ shows that Governor Ademola Adeleke has been running his government with falsehood and subterfuge in order to attract unmerited political and public sympathy while adding that this has largely been responsible for ‘the fast waning of his political influence and popularity in the state’.
‘It will be recalled that the state Ministry of Information manned by a supposed legal practitioner rushed to the press a few days ago, spreading falsehood that one Adebayo Adeleke, who is popularly called B-Read in the music and entertainment industry, escaped death by the whiskers allegedly from the hands of Chief Kazeem Oyewale ,who is popularly called Asiri Eniba, a credible member of our party in Osun State.
B-Red is one of the sons of the governor,
Despite the fact that Asiri Eniba refuted the assassination attempt allegation frivolously levelled against him by B-Red, the media handlers of the governor still went ahead to publish the falsehood which was later found out to be a fabrication’ spokesman for the state APC, Chief Kola Olabisi submitted in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday.
The statement added that ‘it is now clear that Governor Adeleke has been feeding the citizenry blatant lies about the activities of the members of the topmost opposition APC in Osun State without performing due diligence to score cheap political points which have now boomeranged’.
‘The state police command who deflated the balloon of lies of the governor’s son through its state spokesman, Mr. Abiodun Ojelabi, after thorough investigation, submitted that the B-Red grievous assassination attempt on him was baseless, unfounded without any iota of truth.
According to the investigation report: ‘The command wishes to state that the report, as presently being circulated, is false, unverified, and capable of causing unnecessary tension and panic among members of the public’.
Now that the police have spoken on the phoney assassination attempt on Adeleke’s son, what now becomes of the reputation of Asiri Eniba that B-Red has injured through his baseless and unfounded, frivolous and unverified allegation?
We thank the police for doing a yeoman job on the spurious assassination allegation attempt of B-Red which has set the record straight that the feigned accusation was indeed a farce which has further discredited the current administration in the state as grossly lacking in seriousness’ the statement added.
The party also gave a hint that Asiri Eniba may consider taking a legal action.
‘The governor’s son should be aware of the fact that the constitutional immunity of his father does not cover him or any of his siblings which should make him to be prepared for a court action to defend his frivolous allegation soonest.
The numerous aides of the governor among who is the state commissioner for information should cover their face in shame for misleading members of the public into falsely believing that members of our party are violent’ the statement added.
