The Blue Cap Movement, an APC political support group, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on the successful and safe rescue of the abducted residents of Woro, Kaiama local government, Kwara State.

The group in a statement issued in Ilorin on Saturday by its Coordinator, Mr Abdulrasheed Seleke and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com not only welcomed the safe rescue of the abducted Woro residents, but also called this ‘joyful development’ while adding that it was a demonstration of Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that no citizen is left in captivity anywhere.

Mr Abdulrasheed Seleke

The Blue Cap Movement commended the security agencies for ensuring the safe rescue of the abducted Woro residents noting that their ‘professionalism, commitment, and sacrifices ‘made it possible for the abductees to regain their freedom.

The group expressed appreciation to the security agencies for executing an intelligence-led operation that got the victims out of captivity.

The statement specially expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for not stopping to work and doing the needful to bring the abducted Woro residents back to their community.

‘We commend the president and the governor for ensuring the safe rescue of the abducted residents of Woro, many people may not be aware and we need to let them know that sensitive intelligence, tactical operations and classified security details are usually kept away from public domain so as to prevent such from getting into the hands of bandits, terrorists and other criminal groups.

We are overjoyed to welcome our dear brothers and sisters back home and we commend the state government for taking immediate steps to support their healing process.

However, there is a need to take proactive measures that include intelligence-led security, and community engagement to prevent such ugly incidents’ Mr Abdulrasheed Seleke added.

Recall that heavily armed bandits had on February 3, 2026, attacked Woro village, killing scores of people and taking over 176 women and children away.

Recall also that the Blue Cap Movement had issued a statement to condemn the abduction incident calling the hostage video of Woro women and young children disgusting and unacceptable. https://orientactualmags.com/blue-cap-movement-condemns-hostage-video-of-woro-women-and-young-children-says-its-disgusting-unacceptable/
