Bobrisky Released From Jail After Spending 6 Months Behind Bars
Following the expiration of his sentence, transgender woman and a LGBT personality, Idris Okuneye, popularly called Bobrisky, left the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, Lagos on Monday.
Recall that Bobrisky had in April this year gotten a 6-month sentence for abusing the naira and it was without an option of a fine..
Recall also that Bobrisky was arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , EFCC, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. He was invited sequel to the video that was taken while he was spraying new naira notes at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s movie titled, ‘Ajakaju’, on March 24, 2024.
The event was held at FilmOne Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos,
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court , Lagos, had declared Bobrsiky convicted on Friday, April 12, 2024.
