Former Kwara LG Chairman Seeks To Enhance Road Safety Through Establishment Of Vehicle Management Academy

Former Kwara LG Chairman Seeks To Enhance Road Safety Through Establishment Of Vehicle Management Academy

The Vehicle Management Academy (VMA), a training platform that is designed to raise professional standards in the nation’s transport and logistics sector has been officially launched and it is the brainchild of an automotive consultant and fleet management expert, Hon Tunde Fadipe.

The academy is an initiative of Tice Tropics Nigeria Ltd, a company that was established to provide fleet management, driver training, vehicle maintenance, and road safety consulting services.

Through the VMA, Tice Tropics is expanding the scope and branching out into structured education and certification for drivers, fleet managers, mechanics, and transport operators.

Giving his speech during the official launch of the company, Hon Fadipe, a former chairman of Isin local government, Kwara State, said the Academy was established to address the skill gaps contributing to high accident rates, poor vehicle maintenance culture, and inefficient fleet operations in the country.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that VMA’s curriculum will focus on practical, competency-based training in areas like defensive driving, fuel and maintenance management, emissions control, fleet policy development, and regulatory compliance.

‘Vehicles are assets, but without proper management they become liabilities’ Mr Fadipe submitted while adding that ‘VMA is our contribution to building a new generation of professionals who understand that road safety and operational efficiency start with knowledge and discipline’.

‘Tice Tropics Nig Ltd has worked with corporate fleets, schools, and transport companies on driver behavior management, route optimization, and maintenance scheduling. With the VMA, the company aims to institutionalize that expertise through workshops, certification programmes, and continuous learning modules tailored for Nigeria’s operating environment.

The launch of Vehicle Management Academy adds to ongoing efforts by private operators to support the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other agencies in reducing road crashes and improving transport standards.

For enrollment and programme details, interested individuals and organizations can contact Tice Tropics Nig Ltd through its official channels’ the statement added -Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
