Former Rep Ahman Patigi Dies At 59…Gov AbdulRazaq Offers Condolences

A prominent politician in Kwara State, Hon Ahman Bahago Patigi is dead.
The deceased politician, a Kwara State APC bigwig, died in Abuja on Thursday.
He breathed his last at the National Hospital, Abuja.
Hon Bahago, who was born on December 31, 1964, was a member of the House of Representatives and he represented Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency , Kwara State for 12 uninterrupted years.
The former federal lawmaker was born into a political family, his father, late Alhaji Ahman Patigi served as Minister of Agriculture and Health during the first Republic.
The former reps member also established a university, and had it named after his late father.
Ahman Pategi University, which was approved in 2021, is located in Patigi , Patigi local government, Kwara State.
As a member of the House of Representatives, Bahago was the Chairman of the Committee on Water Resources, and later , Chairman of the Committee on Legislative Budget Research .
The former federal lawmaker also made news when he married Oloye Jumoke Akinjide a few years ago, the two of them were an item and they were always seen together at his Wuse, Abuja residence.
Jumoke Akinjide is the daughter of second republic Minister for Justice and Attorney General, Chief Richard Akinjide.
The late Bahago had also frequented Jumoke’s office in the Ministry of FCT where she was then serving as Minister of State.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State noted on Thursday that he was shocked and saddened over the death of the former federal lawmaker.
‘Governor Abdulrazaq, who has joined the family at the National Hospital where the former reps member died in Abuja, sends his heartfelt condolences to His Royal Highness, the Etsu Patigi ,Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Bologi II, the people of Patigi Local Government Area, and the Ahman-Patigis on this sad event.
Governor Abdulrazaq says Hon. Bahago would be remembered for his many investments that uplifted different people, including those he facilitated as a lawmaker and those he built as a community leader such as the Ahman Patigi University (APU).
We are sad and devastated at the death of the Galadiman Patigi, but we surrender to the will of Allaah, our maker and nourisher. To that extent, we ask Allaah to forgive Hon.
