Fuel Subsidy: NLC Shelves Plan To Embark On Nationwide Strike
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) on Monday confirmed that they will no longer go ahead with the planned nationwide strike which was scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) had declared a nationwide strike to protest against the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned this resolution was announced by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, who is also President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila in Abuja on Monday night.

NLC National President, Mr Joe Ajaero also confirmed this new development after a meeting between the Federal Government and the organized labour at the Presidential Villa, Abuja which lasted six hours.
‘The NLC is to suspend notice of strike forthwith to enable further consultations. The TUC and the NLC to continue ongoing engagements with the Federal Government and secure closure on the resolutions.
