Hajj 2023: Gov Abdulrazaq Bids Kwara Pilgrims Farewell At Ilorin Airport

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was at the Ilorin International Airport ,Ilorin on Friday night to say goodbye to residents and citizens of Kwara state , who would be performing this year’s hajj in Mecca and Medinah.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the pilgrims were the first batch to be airlifted from the state to Saudi Arabia.

Abdulrazaq had since becoming the governor four years ago, made it a routine annual exercise to accompany the first batch to be airlifted from the state to Saudi Arabia from the hajj camp to the airport.
It will be recalled that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) had begun the airlift of pilgrims on Thursday with an inaugural flight that comprised pilgrims from Nasarawa state.
Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca and Medinah in Saudi Arabia.
It is a mandatory religious duty for the Muslims and this must be carried out at least once in their lifetime.
Governor AbdulRazaq on Friday night exchanged pleasantries with the pilgrims who took turns to commend him for always showing humility.
They also prayed for his success in his second term, while the governor wished them a safe journey.
AbdulRazaq won re-election in March this year and his second inauguration as governor will hold on Monday.
He had also earlier in the week emerged as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), with his colleagues reposing confidence in him and getting assured that he will show good leadership-Team@orientactualmags.com
