Independence Day: Nurudeen Adeyemi Congratulates Nigerians, Urges Peaceful Coexistence, Patriotism
As Nigerians celebrate the nation’s Independence Day today, Thursday, October 1, 2026, Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun (ENACT) has joined other citizens at home and abroad in celebrating the strength, resilience, diversity, and enduring spirit of ‘our great nation’.
In a statement he issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com, Chief Nurudeen Adeyemi, an aerospace engineer, emphasized that ‘one Nigeria makes us stronger’ noting that ‘our diversity should remain a source of strength, unity, and collective progress’.
According to him, regardless of our different backgrounds, cultures, languages, and regions, Nigerians share a common destiny and a responsibility to contribute to the growth and development of the country.

The 66th anniversary of independence, he noted, provides ‘an opportunity to reflect on our journey as a nation’ while renewing our commitment to peace, unity, good citizenship, and sustainable development.
‘Nigeria’s progress requires the collective efforts of citizens, leaders, communities, and institutions working together for the common good’ he said.
Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun also urged Nigerians to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, patriotism, and national unity, stressing that a united Nigeria creates greater opportunities for development and a brighter future for generations yet unborn.
