Insecurity: Suspend ‘Night Vigil’, End All Church Programmes Before 8pm, MFM Tells Members

Following the worsening security situation in the country, the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries has directed those who are in charge of its branches across the country to ensure that all church programmes end before 8pm and also not stay awake at churches during normal sleeping hours to keep watch, and pray at least for now.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the directive to suspend night vigil and end church programmes before 8 pm was issued via an internal memo dated June 5, 2026, which was signed by the Director of Administration at MFM’s international headquarters, Lagos, Temitope A. Olawale.

The church noted that this decision was taken in the interest of the safety and well-being of its members.

All services, meetings and other church activities must according to Olawale henceforth end before 8:00 pm.

 ‘Where necessary, vigils may be converted to evening prayer programmes and must be concluded on or before 8:00 p.m.

These measures are purely precautionary and are intended to safeguard the lives and well-being of our members in the face of the current security situation in the country.
