Ahead of the February 2023 House of Representatives election in Isin/Irepodun/Ekiti/Oke-Ero federal constituency, Kwara state, Hon Oluwasegun Adebayo had his chances of winning the upcoming election enhanced following the development recorded at the weekend.
Some among political bigwigs in the federal constituency converged on B-County Hotel, Omu-Aran, Irepodun local government to drum up support for the upwardly mobile Adebayo on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the strategic and crucial meeting has also given birth to a new support group; the C.O Adebayo Independent Campaign Team which has Hon Adewumi Adetola from Oko Ward , Irepodun local government as Coordinator.
The new group is positioned as a political action committee supporting Hon Oluwasegun Adebayo, who is the son of Chief C.O Adebayo , a one-time governor of Kwara state, who later served as Minister for Communications under Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
The Olokesa of Okesa in Isapa Ward , His Royal Highness, Oba Olusegun Fagbamila, was also among attendees of the meeting.
The new group has presence in all the 42 wards in the federal constituency and the members have been tasked with ensuring victory for the party in the upcoming general election.
Those who gave speeches among the attendees of the meeting stated their readiness to hit the ground running immediately.
It will be recalled that Justice Mohammed Sani of the Federal High Court, Ilorin had last month nullified the candidacy of Rep Raheem Olawuyi Ajulo-opin and had Hon Oluwasegun Adebayo declared as the authentic APC candidate for the 2023 Isin/Oke-Ero/Ekiti/Irepodun House of Representatives election.
