Iwo Was Put On The Map On My Watch- Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi
The Oluwo of Iwo, Osun State, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has asserted that he has changed the face of the ancient town while adding that Iwo was put on the map on his watch.
Submitting that insufficient information was available on Google with respect to Iwo before becoming the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, asserted that things had since changed for the better .
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Oba Akanbi disclosed this on Saturday during the 8th edition of the Distinguished Role Model Awards ceremony organized by The Wings School, Iwo, for indigenes of the town who have achieved success in their respective careers.
‘Before I became the king, when I googled Iwo, I couldn’t get sufficient information about the town and sometimes I can’t even tell people I am from Iwo town. I either tell people then that I am from Ibadan or Lagos.
But now, development has come to Iwo and everyone is proud to associate with us.
