‘Joo Maa Binu’: Eniola Badmus Tells Laide Bakare In Instagram Post, Seeks End To Feud

‘Joo Maa Binu’: Eniola Badmus Tells Laide Bakare In Instagram Post, Seeks End To Feud

An end is in sight for the feud involving two popular actresses; Eniola Badmus and Laide Bakare, as the Gbogbo Big Girls star has apologized to the latter, calling for an end to the rift.

The apology follows a viral clip from Eniola’s appearance on Isbae U’s podcast, during which the host had named Bakare as one of his favorite actresses, Badmus was however seen hissing and showing a visible change in facial expression, a reaction that quickly attracted attention on social media.

The incident reignited conversations about the longstanding tension between the two actresses, who have exchanged public criticisms over the years.

Laide Bakare had called Eniola an ingrate in an Instagram post, adding that the Gbogbo Big Girls star has a fixation on her.

‘Nuisance ni lady yi sha! 😡🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️Must you always damage my character publicly? Several times I have warned you to stop 🛑 but since you have decided to bring me down at all cost. You will surely hear from me. Ori e ti Daru, iwo OMO OFO jati jati yi .

See your facial expressions at the mention of your biggest Benefactor Name? Omo Ale 🤷‍♀️@laidebakarehub that helped you to grow in life. Honestly you are indeed an ingrate and I won’t let this slide. Ori e ti da ru. I will never allow someone else’s insecurity to become my distraction. I know my journey, I know my worth, and I know how much it has taken Me to get here’ she had submitted.

Team@orientactualmags.com reports that Eniola Badmus in an Instagram post on Tuesday agreed that her reaction during her appearance on Isbae U’s ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ podcast could have come across as dismissive.

‘On reflection, I realize my reaction when Laide Bakare’s name was mentioned during my recent interview could have come across as dismissive, and for that, I sincerely apologize.

Laide, whatever our differences, I choose peace and I genuinely wish you well.

We’re all growing, learning, and becoming better versions of ourselves. Sometimes maturity is simply knowing when to let go and move forward.

Joo maa binu. No negativity. No grudges. Let love lead and peace reign’ she submitted.

‘Joo maa binu’ means ‘please, do not be angry’ in English.

In March 2024, Badmus appeared to mock Bakare’s outfit at the latter’s book launch.

Bakare had worn a white outfit with an orange cape, which drew heavy criticism on social media and Badmus had taken to Instagram to ask, ‘Ewo ninu yin lo wo Aso Pastor Ajidara. Abeg who??’, a comment widely interpreted as a direct reference to Bakare’s outfit.

Bakare had subsequently responded, expressing disappointment that her colleagues focused on her perceived flaws rather than celebrating her achievements. She also questioned why Badmus, whom she described as a childhood friend from their days at the University of Ibadan, had singled her out for criticism.

The disagreement resurfaced in April 2025 at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s film, Owambe Thieves, in Lagos. Videos circulating online showed a heated exchange between the actresses, with Badmus reportedly stating that they were not friends and requesting that they not be filmed together-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
