KBC Welcomes Peace Initiative, Urges Aggrieved Kwara APC Bigwigs To Embrace Dialogue
The Kwara By Consensus Group (KBC Group) has praised the peace initiative of Kwara State APC leadership while urging aggrieved party leaders to embrace dialogue and unity ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Emphasizing that inclusive consensus-building is vital for political stability and future electoral success in the state, the group also urged aggrieved APC bigwigs to prioritize party unity while proposing a four-pillar framework that is based on inclusive dialogue, shared ownership, and collective interest.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that Chairman of the group, Mallam Abdul-Hamid Sambo said this when he led KBC members on a visit to the APC Reconciliation Committee in Ilorin, the state capital.
Commending the committee headed by retired Colonel AbdulWahab Ademola Lawal for its inclusive engagement with aggrieved party members which should be continued without exception, the group also urged party leaders and members to shun provocative public statements and ‘conduct disagreements through structured dialogue and avoid acrimony’ while suggesting that disciplinary actions should be kept off the table at least for now so as to allow genuine reconciliation.
The Reconciliation Committee, the KBC Chairman noted, is considered as a unique window to reset relationships and build a more cohesive party structure, it should therefore ensure that all voices, including those of aggrieved party members, are heard in good faith and without preconditions.
The aggrieved party leaders should however according to him allow the greater good of the party and the people of Kwara State to dwarf individual or factional interests.
The KBC Group also restated its pledge of moral, intellectual, and logistical support for the committee’s assignment saying ‘we stand ready to convey this message of consensus-building, inclusive dialogue, and collective interest across our network of patrons, members, and partners to ensure a united and peaceful Kwara State APC’.
‘As our name affirms, we believe that Kwara By Consensus is not merely a title; it is a commitment. We are committed to modelling the very spirit of consensus that we urge upon others, and we invite the committee, party leadership, and all members to join us in this vital endeavour.

We come before you not as office-seekers, nor as representatives of any faction or bloc within the APC. We come as citizens who believe that the soul of the party and the future of our state depend on the outcome of the committee’s work.
We strive for a stable, prosperous Kwara.
Our name, Kwara By Consensus, is our philosophy. We therefore, urge this committee to make consensus the guiding light of this reconciliation’ Mallam Abdul-Hamid Sambo added.
Giving his speech, retired Colonel AbdulWahab Ademola Lawal thanked the Kwara By Consensus Group (KBC) for their support and belief in the committee’s mission noting that this has caused him a feeling of happiness.
He noted that the recommendations made by the group through their chairman will help in making the aggrieved party members embrace dialogue.
