KCDC Endorses Gov Abdulrazaq’s Vision For Kwara, Urges Support For ‘Governance Continuity’
The Kwara Central Development Council (KCDC) has declared its support for the development agenda and the ‘governance continuity’ being promoted by the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration citing its impact since coming into being in 2019.
The non-governmental organization also highlighted key achievements in infrastructure, youth empowerment, education, market development, and economic expansion.
The KCDC in a statement issued in conjunction with the Kwara Civilization and Renewal Forum (KCRF) which was made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Comrade Jimoh .A Idris aka Blinkers noted that the success of democracy must be measured by its tangible dividends to the public while emphasizing that leadership should be assessed by its direct impact on the lives of the citizens, community development, job creation, and the delivery of essential services.
‘Under Governor AbdulRazaq, Kwara State has witnessed notable developmental strides, particularly in urban renewal, human capital development, public education, and the modernization of market infrastructure’ the organization said.
The statement also underscored the importance of youth empowerment through talent discovery, skill acquisition, technological exposure, and entrepreneurship, noting that young people must be given viable platforms to contribute to the economic growth of the state.
Regarding education, the KCDC stressed the need to sustain improvements in basic schooling, infrastructure, teacher training, and staff welfare through effective institutional administration and continued investment in the future of Kwara’s children.
Furthermore, the organization highlighted the necessity of upgrading local markets, supporting traders and artisans, and expanding direct and indirect employment opportunities to strengthen the grassroots economy.
While backing continuity in governance, the KCDC also noted that development must remain inclusive, ensuring benefits reach every community across Kwara Central calling for greater attention to underserved areas, youth programmes, social welfare, fiscal accountability, and equitable distribution of resources.
As the state approaches the 2027 political season, the KCDC urged citizens to remain committed to peace, unity, constructive engagement, and the pursuit of sustainable development.
‘Our position is clear: Kwara State must sustain its development progress, strengthen good governance, and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the people. Our commitment goes beyond politics; it is about the future and prosperity of Kwara State.
