Kwara 2027: Nurudeen Adeyemi Hails Gov Abdulrazaq’s Choice Of Successor
Ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election in the State of Harmony, Kwara South APC Senate Aspirant, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun has expressed unwavering support for the decision taken by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to endorse Alhaji Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki’s candidacy and announce him as his preferred successor.
Engr. Adeyemi submitted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that Governor AbdulRazaq through his visionary leadership, developmental strides, and transformational governance across Kwara State over the past seven years, has earned the right to identify and guide the emergence of a worthy successor capable of consolidating on his achievements and preserving the legacy of progress, stability, and inclusive governance established under his administration.
According to him, leadership comes with responsibility, foresight, and strategic direction, and ‘as the undisputed leader of APC in Kwara State’, Governor AbdulRazaq reserves the right to provide guidance to the party on the path that guarantees cohesion, continuity, and electoral success.
Engr. Adeyemi commended the governor for what he described as a courageous, thoughtful, and statesmanlike decision taken after extensive consultations with party leaders and stakeholders across the state.
He further congratulated Ambassador Yahaya Seriki on what he described as a well-deserved endorsement, noting that the APC stalwart has consistently demonstrated loyalty, political maturity, grassroots mobilization capacity, and unwavering commitment to party building and the development of Kwara State.
‘Ambassador Yahaya Seriki has over the years distinguished himself as a grassroots politician, a successful businessman, a committed party man, and a dependable ally of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. His role and sacrifices as Director General of the Kwara State APC Campaign Committee in 2023, his investments in people, and his broad acceptance across the state are testaments to his capacity to lead and sustain the developmental trajectory of our dear state’ he added.
Engr. Adeyemi also applauded all the aspirants who participated in the gubernatorial race for their maturity, discipline, and commitment to democratic values, particularly those who have chosen to rally around the governor’s decision in the overall interest of party unity and stability.
The aerospace engineer urged all APC stakeholders, leaders, and faithful across the sixteen local governments in the state to remain united and committed to the collective interest of the party, stressing that the period after the primaries would require reconciliation, inclusion, and intensified grassroots engagement to further strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 general election.
He asserted that Ambassador Yahaya Seriki possesses the political experience, network, and leadership ability required to sustain the gains of the AbdulRazaq administration while further expanding the frontiers of development across Kwara State.
Engr. Adeyemi concluded by wishing Ambassador Yahaya Seriki success at the APC governorship primary and expressing optimism that the APC will once again, record another resounding electoral victory across the state in 2027.
