Kwara ADC Calls Former Speaker Tunde Mohammed ‘Authentic’ Chairman, Says Adebayo Akadi Is An ‘Impostor’
Kwara State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has picked holes in Hon Adebayo S. Akadi’s decision to continue to lay claim to chairmanship of the party in the state while calling him an ‘impostor’.

In a statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Kabir Abubakar Basambo, who is the spokesman for the party in the state, Kwara State ADC accused Hon Akadi of impersonation while clarifying and asserting that former Speaker of the state House of Assembly is the ‘authentic’ chairman of the party in the state.
‘For clarity:
1. The tenure of the immediate past State Executive Committee officially expired on May 14, 2026.
2. The National Executive Committee (NEC) of ADC had during its 101st NEC meeting approved and constituted new Caretaker Committees at zonal, state, LGA, and ward levels with immediate effect.
3. The Kwara State Caretaker Committee is led by Rt.Hon. Babatunde Mohammed and it is the only body that is constitutionally recognized to act and oversee the affairs of ADC in Kwara State.
Therefore, we strictly advise the public, party members, media, and stakeholders to disregard any statements, actions, or meetings in the name of Kwara ADC at the instance of Adebayo Akadi because he no longer holds any office in the party structure.
As the State Publicity Secretary, I state unequivocally that Kwara ADC will not tolerate impersonation or attempts to mislead the public.
