Kwara APC Governorship Nomination: Ignore Media Reports, I Didn’t Suggest Any Aspirant For Consideration-Gov Abdulrazaq

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has asked residents of the state and other Nigerians to ignore media reports claiming that he has submitted the name of one of the APC gubernatorial aspirants in the state to President Bola Tinubu as the ‘preferred candidate’ ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.

The governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Alhaji Bashir Adigun in a statement he issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday called the media reports in question false and malicious.

‘Media reports claiming that the name of a particular aspirant has been submitted to the president as Kwara State APC governorship candidate are false, malicious, and designed to blackmail Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

We reject the blackmail outright. It is false to suggest that the governor has submitted the name of any aspirant. Members and leaders of our party should ignore it.

We urge party members and stakeholders to ignore the claims. All aspirants are urged to sell their legitimate political aspirations to all relevant stakeholders.
