Kwara PDP Lifts Ban On Political Activities As Mourning Period For Rafiu Ibrahim Ends

Kwara state PDP announces on Monday that the mourning period for late former Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim has ended adding that the ban put on political activities in the party has consequently been lifted.

Recall that as a sign of sober reflection, the state PDP had imposed a ban on all political activities since April 17, and ordered the lowering of its flags to half-mast for 41 days in honor of the deceased senator.
The party in a statement issued in Ilorin on Monday and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its State Publicity Secretary, Hon Olusegun Olusola Adewara, disclosed that steps have also been taken to enhance public interaction with the party as part of ‘our #RescueKwara campaign’.
‘Following the successful completion of the fidau prayer in honor of Distinguished, the party is pleased to announce the resumption of political activities across the state.
Consequently, local government party chairmen are directed to immediately inform ward chairmen under their jurisdictions to reopen party offices for full activities and raise the party flags that had been lowered during these 41 days of mourning.
Accordingly, all local government party chairmen and concerned stakeholders are hereby informed of the planned expanded Exco meeting on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 2 pm.
In addition, the PDP leadership in Kwara is excited to inform the general public about the launch of its official WhatsApp channel via 08157600938. This initiative aims to enhance public interaction with the party as part of our #RescueKwara campaign, promoting wider public participation and engagement.
