Kwara South Senate Seat: Nurudeen Adeyemi Promises Quality Representation During Consultative Meeting With Offa LG APC Elders
Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, a Kwara South APC senate aspirant, got a warm reception as he arrived in Offa for a consultative meeting with party elders in the local government on Wednesday understandably because it was somewhat a homecoming.
He had begun the ‘consultative meeting’ with APC elders last weekend and already met with party stakeholders in Isin, Oyun, Oke-Ero, Ekiti, Irepodun and Ifelodun local governments.
Giving his speech during the meeting held with Offa local government APC elders at Shawo Hall, Offa, Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun promised to ensure quality representation if elected representative of Kwara South in the senate in 2027 while noting that his motivation has been the desire to serve the public interest and humanity.

The meeting was presided over by APC Chairman in the local government, Hon Kunle Adegboye.
The Kwara South APC senate aspirant, who noted that this is not the first time he will be launching a senate bid, cited President Bola Tinubu’s famous ‘emi lo kan’ quote to urge support for his candidacy while submitting that having sought for party nomination in 2019 and 2023 , this time around ,the spirit of Emi lokan (it’s my turn) should be allowed to prevail.
The aerospace engineer added that although, he had previously sought for party nomination and did not get it on two occasions, he had however not only remained a member of the party but also worked for the success of the candidates nominated by the party and has remained a true party man.
Declaring unwavering loyalty and continued support for the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration, Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi disclosed that he bonded with the governor because they share the same vision and common goals citing the Innovation Hub in Ajase-Ipo and the Kwara Innovation Hub, Ilorin , the Omo Ibile Igbomina Clinic and the quarterly intervention in the health sector in the 16 local governments in the state.
Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, who currently represents North Central on the Board of TETFUND, said he has used his good offices to improve tertiary education in Kwara South and Kwara State as a whole while providing supporting details.
He also emphasized the importance of improving the lives of the young people in the senatorial district to ensure a secure future noting that he has made good efforts in this direction by facilitating appointment opportunities for the young people in Kwara South, and also establishing the Innovation Hub in Ajase-Ipo .
Engineer Adeyemi submitted that what he has done at TETFUND in less than two years should convince the party leaders and other stakeholders that he will do excellently well if given the opportunity to serve as the representative of Kwara South in the senate.
Leaders and members of the Kwara South Unity Group (KSUG), who also gave speeches, shared personal stories that highlighted Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi’s good character and actions.
KSUG leader, Hon Adebayo Jimoh Alao, a former Commissioner for Sports, and a one-time chairman of Oyun local government, who noted that the group took a reasonable decision to champion the agitation for an Igbomina indigene to occupy Kwara South parliament seat in 2027, also emphasized the need to have this microzoned to Irepodun local government while having Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun in view.
‘We are members of Kwara South Unity Group under the umbrella of APC. In Kwara South, we have three blocs; Ibolo, Ekiti and igbomina. With the 2027 general election drawing near, we have discussed and we have asked questions, where should the senate seat go to this time around? Ekiti has done it for 12 years, our elder brother, Senator Simon Ajibola served for 12 years, and God helped him. Our younger brother, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim from Ibolo also served for four years, may God forgive him and may his soul rest in peace. When he left, it got to Senator Yisa Lola Ashiru, he is on his second term, by God’s grace, if we add his eight years to the four years of Senator Rafiu, it will be 12 years, the bloc that deserves to produce the next occupant of the parliament seat is Igbomina’ he said.
APC elders in Offa, local government including Dr Folorunsho Taiyese and Mrs. Iyabo Olagunju also spoke highly of the Kwara South APC senate aspirant, Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
