No Sane Person Will Promise Not To Seek Re-election-Gov Soludo
Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has submitted that those who are seeking to become president or governor and are promising to spend one term are not being reasonable and sincere.
No sane person will according to him make such a promise.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Governor Soludo said this during the political rally held in Anambra South in support of his re-election bid on Saturday.
The Nigerian Constitution, he noted, allows elected public officials to serve two terms, anyone who says he will spend one term may therefore need to undergo a psychiatric examination.
‘How can anybody with a functioning brain say that? Do you think you’re speaking to fools?
You come to people and say you will do only one term, any politician who says that must be sent to a psychiatric home because the person must have some mental problem’ he said.
Recall that one of the governor’s predecessors, Mr Peter Obi had in June this year disclosed plans to run for president in 2027 but however promised to spend only one term if elected president.
