A prominent indigene of Kwara State, Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun on Tuesday talked about the ongoing Eyenkorin-Afon-Offa Road Project noting that when completed, it will not only reduce travel times but also lower transportation costs for goods and services.
The road project in question will also according to him bring significant advantages to residents of Kwara South and other Nigerians as it will act as a catalyst for economic growth, enhanced accessibility, and improved quality of life.
Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, who is the Founder of ENACT and a member of the Board of TETFUND where he represents the North Central geopolitical zone, told Team@orientactualmags.com that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq should be commended for his visionary and impactful leadership.
The Eyenkorin-Afon-Offa Road Project connects Kwara Central to Kwara South and also connects Osun State to Kwara State.
It is being constructed by the BUA Group under the Federal Government’s Road Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme.

Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi also noted that it was in recognition of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s love for the Kwara South people and his development initiatives that he was honoured with the chieftaincy title of Soludero of Offa by the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi in December 2019.
‘Around the World in Eighty Days is a classic 1873 adventure novel by a French author, Jules Verne about the meticulous English gentleman, Phileas Fogg, who wagered half of his fortunes to prove that he can circumnavigate the globe in just 80 days, embarking on a thrilling adventure and accompanied by his new valet, Passepartout, facing numerous obstacles rescuing Princess Aouda and being pursued by Fix, a detective.
The story, set in 1872, highlights the era’s fascination with new technology and exploration as Fogg and Passepartout travelled by steamship, train, and elephant across continents, encountering diverse cultures and challenges like a bison stampede and a Sioux attack.
For all lovers of Kwara South and Kwara State and Offa in particular, imagine Offa to Ilorin in 30 minutes, it is no longer a fiction but a reality.
If you say, why are people supporting the Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration? There are lots of reasons of course.
I have traversed this game-changing infrastructure development phenomenon no less than twice in the last 3 months. ‘Oh my God! was my exclamation.
