Osun APC Accuses Gov Adeleke Administration Of Lacking Direction… It’s A Fallacy Promoted By Indolent Minds-PDP

Osun APC Accuses Gov Adeleke Administration Of Lacking Direction… It’s A Fallacy Promoted By Indolent Minds-PDP

Osun state APC on Wednesday alleged that things have been bastardized when it comes to running of affairs of the State of The Living Spring since the emergence of the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration adding that the current administration in the state has fallen short of Osun state people’s expectations .

The governor’s  approach  to governance, the APC alleged,  is at variance with the nationwide constitutional standard as he has been running  the affairs of the state like as an extension of his family enterprise without taking into consideration the need for transparency, accountability and probity.

The party also claimed  that the governor  has appointed Personal Assistants, Senior Special Assistants and Special Advisers more than  those appointed by all the past administrations in the state since its creation  32 years ago.

The party also alleged  that no fewer than 300 people were appointed as Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants by Governor Adeleke within the past few weeks.

Osun state APC also alleged that the appointment of late Alhaji Isiaka Adeleke’s son,  Mr Tunji  Adeleke Jnr as Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, had affected local governments in the state negatively because he is a full-time master’s degree student at a university in the United States of America.

Osun state  APC chairman , Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, alleged that the Adeleke  administration  has eroded the past gains of the state because of the governor’s approach to governance.

Lawal submitted that the litany of the official infractions of Governor Adeleke since the inauguration of his administration about fourteen months ago are legendary to the effect that they have secured an unfavourable place for the state among its peers in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The party faulted the governor’s decision to appoint his  nephew as  chairman of the state Local Government Service  Commission alleging that he is inexperienced while calling this an insult on the sensibility of  members of the state PDP in particular and the entire citizenry of the state in general.

Lawal also  accused Governor Adeleke of having cornered all the juicy appointments in his administration for his cronies and members of his extended family and leaving the dregs for members of the Pathfinder group in the state PDP.

The state PDP  has however described the allegations raised against the Ademola Adeleke administration  by the state APC as a fallacy promoted by indolent minds submitting that no amount of false narrative will distract Governor Adeleke from the ongoing efforts to salvage Osun state from the abyss of ruins that the APC  allegedly led it into.

The  state PDP  in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the state chairman, Chief Sunday Bisi on Thursday, said contrary to the calculated plot of the APC to misrepresent  state of affairs in the state, the reality of things clearly showed that  the Adeleke administration has succeeded in  reversing the ugly outlook of the state.

‘Governor Ademola Adeleke has remained  focused and he is  delivering on his mandate. Only those who are haunted by the ghost of their past failures will deny the noticeable accomplishments of the governor in his  just one year in office..

If the APC is pretending that nothing has happened so far, what about the half salary debt it incurred that Governor Adeleke is paying? Had the APC in Osun state lived with some modicum of meaning of shame, it wouldn’t have dared to criticize Governor Adeleke that is cleaning up its mess and putting a smile on the faces of the people’ the party said.

The PDP also described as untrue the claim by the APC that Governor Adeleke has appointed over 300 people as  Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants.

‘So far, the Adeleke administration has shown financial discipline and sincere commitment to the governance of the people. This is why Governor Adeleke is paying half salary that the immediate administration found impossible to pay; increased amount of money that goes to pension payment by 100%; building critical infrastructures among others.

It can only exist in the figment of the imagination of Osun APC shameless irritants that Governor Adeleke appointed over 300  people as SAs and SSAs. The mistake they must have made was to think that  the PDP administration is reckless like them, which explains why they plunged Osun state into financial quagmire, treating workers and pensioners welfare with disdain, and putting the future into uncertainty because by merely sharing and looting not just our common patrimony but also borrowed the future away’ the statement submitted..

‘In one year, Governor Adeleke achieved a lot that outclassed whatever Oyetola had achieved in four years. While Oyetola found it difficult to pay any month out of the 30 months half salary owed by a government in which he was an active partaker, Governor Adeleke has paid four months. Roads totaling over 90km across the 9 federal constituencies have been delivered or at an advanced stage of completion. One school in each of the 31 local governments and area office was completely refurbished and equipped, while over 50 thousands people in Osun have enjoyed free medical intervention through the Imole Surgical and Medical Outreach, just to mention but a few.

Governor Adeleke’s achievements and interventions are visible and not deceptive (audio) like the Greek promotion given to workers by Oyetola in 2019 but never deemed it fit to implement the financial implication while his tenure lasted. It is this same Governor Adeleke that cash-backed the financial implication of the promotion’ the statement added.

The party also asserted that Osun state  will never  return to the dark past when civil servants and pensioners frequented the streets in fight for survival and when resources that accrued to the state were allegedly  taken to Lagos and other places by a privileged few.

‘The candid truth is that Osun fared terribly under the APC, and we need to constantly sound this plain fact to the ears of those who nearly milked the state to death but now posing as saviours on the spectators sidelines.

At the moment, Osun uses more than 30% of gross FAAC allocation to service debt every month and may do so for as much as 40 years or more. Tens of billions are owed to pensioners while there is still 26 months of half salary debts to clear. We are in this mess due to the APC’s heartlessness in government and unsavory maladministration and so, Osun people cannot forget in a hurry, no matter the knee-jerking  on the part of the immediate past oppressors’ the party submitted-Team@orientactualmags.com
