Osun APC Declares 3-Day Fasting, Prayer Ahead Of 2023 General Election

With  the 2023 general election just four days away,   Osun State APC  on Tuesday  declared three days of  fasting and prayer  and asked its members and supporters to  use this opportunity to seek the favour of God for the smooth conduct of the upcoming general election.

 The state  APC Acting  Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, gave this directive in a statement issued in Osogbo  and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi.

Lawal noted that his party attaches importance to fasting and prayer as ‘there is no logjam that cannot be remedied by the All-knowing God once this is communicated to Him through fasting and prayer’.

The  statement directed that the fasting and prayer should be held between today (Wednesday) and Friday which is the eve of the presidential and national assembly elections.

‘The prayer point of the APC members and supporters should be that God Almighty should finish His work which He had started a long time ago on the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all the party’s national and state assembly candidates’ the statement said.

Lawal enjoined the APC members to in their supplications to God remember to pray for crisis-free elections and that all APC candidates should earn victory.

The Acting State APC chairman reminded   APC members and supporters  that their PVCs  should be within  their reach by now to enable them partake actively in the elections.

He  urged them to obey all the directives of the electoral umpire , the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),  in order to avoid voiding or cancellation of their votes.

They were also told to resist any act of provocation by the enemies of democracy which could lead to promotion of crisis before, during and after the elections.

He prayed that the party would not have any reason to lose any Osun citizen, particularly members and supporters of  the APC   on the Election Day- Team@orientactualmags.com
