Planned Resumption Of Duty: Osun Govt’s Lawyer Seeks Protection For 2025 LG Chairmen, Councilors In Letter To DSS, Police, Others
Osun State Government has sought protection for local government chairmen and councilors who are PDP members as they get ready for ‘resumption of duty’ at their respective local government secretariats in the state.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the state government has done this through a letter sent to heads of security agencies in the state by a law firm, Musibau Adetunbi & co which was dated June 18, 2026.
The law firm noted that Justice Adefunmilola Demi-Ajayi of the Federal High Court, Osogbo had on June 15 declared the 2022 LG chairmen and councilors sacked while Governor Ademola Adeleke had consequently directed the police to ensure that they are henceforth made to stay away from local government secretariats in the state.
Musibau Adetunbi & co has therefore urged the police and other security agencies to ‘act accordingly by removing the illegal occupants and ensuring safe resumption of duty by the duly elected officials’.
