Police Inspector Collapses, Dies After Participating In Fitness Walkathon In Sokoto
Inspector Adamu Isah of Sokoto State Police Command has died after participating in the fitness walkathon held in Sokoto on Wednesday by the police command.
Isah, a police officer attached to the Department of Operations, state headquarters, had joined others to participate in the programme held with the purpose of improving personal health but sadly died shortly after it ended.
Team@orietactualmags.com learned that spokesman for the state police command, DSP Ahmad Rufa’I announced Isah’s death in a statement he issued in Sokoto on Thursday.
He noted that the deceased police officer was immediately taken to hospital for medical attention after collapsing at the state headquarters but doctors declared him a brought-in -dead patient.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Hayatu Shaffa described Isah’s death as a painful loss to the state police command and condoled with his family, colleagues and friends.
‘The Sokoto State Police Command is deeply saddened by the sudden and painful loss of our colleague, Inspector Adamu Isah. He was a dedicated and gallant officer who served his fatherland with unwavering commitment and professionalism’ he said.
The CP noted that Isah was also actively involved in sports being a member of the state police command’s volleyball team and a boxer.
‘His energy, discipline, and team spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his immediate family during this difficult time. We pray that the Almighty God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss’ he added.
