Police Inspector Stabs 39-Year-Old Man To Death During Argument In Damaturu

Inspector Mohammed Bulama, who was attached to the Police Mobile Force, 41 Division, Damaturu, Yobe State capital, has been arrested and taken into custody.
He was arrested sequel to the directive from the state police chief, CP Garba Ahmed that an investigation should be launched into a homicide incident involving the cop in question.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesman for the state police command, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, who disclosed this in a statement he issued in Damaturu on Tuesday, said the state police chief has promised to ensure that justice is served.
‘It was gathered that on September 29, 2024, at approximately 18:20 hours, Inspector Mohammed Bulama, 38, and Abdulmalik Dauda (aka Baksha), 39, of Pompomari Ward, Damaturu, were involved in a heated argument over an unresolved transaction at the Zango Area.
The dispute escalated into a physical altercation, during which Bulama allegedly stabbed Dauda in the chest. Bulama also sustained head injuries during the confrontation.
Bulama was promptly arrested at the ‘C’ Divisional Police Headquarters, where he had sought refuge. The state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has commenced an investigation, and Bulama is currently in custody pending internal disciplinary action and prosecution’ he said.
While condemning Bulama’s actions and offering his condolences to the family of the deceased person, the police chief also assured the public of a thorough and swift investigation to ensure that justice is served.
‘The Nigeria Police Force will not tolerate any misconduct from its personnel.
