Popular Juju Musician Y.K Ajao Dies At 72…His Legacy Lives On-Shina Peters
A popular juju musician, Mr Yekini Kolawole Ajao, is dead.
The deceased musician, who was popularly called ‘Professor YK Ajao’, died on Friday.
Late YK Ajao, who ventured into music at the age of 9, formed his band, the Y.K. Ajao & His Professional Brothers Band in 1973.
An indigene of Iseyin, Oyo State, Ajao’s popular albums include ‘Makosa Series 1’, ‘Makosa Series 2’ and ‘Vigilante’.
Afrojuju creator, Sir Shina Peters has mourned the death of Y.K Ajao submitting that his legacy lives on.
