
A veteran journalist and prominent politician in Kwara State, Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin has talked about the advantages of having a teaching hospital in Omu-Aran, Irepodun local government noting that it will give residents of Kwara South the opportunity to have access to cutting-edge treatments.
Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin in an interview with Team@orientactualmags.com noted that a teaching hospital will ensure that residents of Kwara South have access to standard medical treatments with all its concomitant positive effects including better patient outcomes and high survival rates.

‘With the Omu Aran General Hospital getting upgraded to a teaching hospital for medical students at the Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) Oko, Irepodun Local Government, such an important health facility has been brought nearer to Kwara South people.
We all know that teaching hospitals have research programmes and this makes newer techniques, medications and other treatments available to people at such facilities’ he said.
Alhaji Adedoyin, a one-time Commissioner for Information in the state, commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for giving needed attention to the health of residents of the state while praising his commitment to improving the health of Kwarans.

He also praised the Chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University (TAU), Dr. Johnson Bamidele Olorunshola Adewumi for improving access to healthcare through the institution.
The former commissioner noted that having a teaching hospital in Omu-Aran will promote public health in Kwara South.
